Regular Season Round 9: Haneda Vickies - JX-Eneos S. 53-104

WJBL top team - JX-Eneos S. (8-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed ninth ranked Haneda Vickies (2-6) in Tokyo 104-53. The game without a history. JX-Eneos S. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Haneda Vickies' 32. JX-Eneos S. forced 19 Haneda Vickies turnovers and outrebounded them 52-27 including a 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for JX-Eneos S. especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Haneda Vickies' players. International forward Yuki Miyazawa (181-93, college: Queens, NY) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and the former international forward Yuka Mamiya (185-90) chipped in 20 points and 9 rebounds. Five JX-Eneos S. players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Shibuya Satsuki (168-98) with 9 points and 5 rebounds and guard Nanoko Motohashi (164-93) scored 7 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for JX-Eneos S.. Defending champion maintains first place with 8-0 record. Haneda Vickies lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the ninth position with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
