Regular Season Round 4: Kapshagay - Tobol 80-76

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Tobol (3-1) on the court of top-ranked Kapshagay on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Kapshagay 80-76. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Tobol. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Kapshagay forced 22 Tobol turnovers. Strangely Tobol outrebounded Kapshagay 40-28 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Vyacheslav Raguyev (195-93) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and the former international swingman Konstantin Dvirniy (192-88) who added 19 points during the contest. At the losing side forward Anton Bykov (200-89) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds and forward Farid Karimullin (193-87) scored 20 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kapshagay have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record. Tobol at the other side keeps the second place with one game lost. They share the position with Almat.Legion and Kazygurt. Kapshagay are looking forward to face Bars (#5) in Petropavlovsk in the next round. Tobol will play at home against Kaspiy-2 and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
