Regular Season Round 4: Scrivia - Crema 63-50

There was a surprise result when eleventh ranked Scrivia (2-2) defeated at home higher ranked Team Crema (2-2) 63-50 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Scrivia. Team Crema was better in third quarter 17-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Team Crema 44-29 including 33 on the defensive glass. Finnish forward Krista Gross (183-90, college: N.Carolina, agency: Interperformances) fired a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Guard Silvia Gabba (170-82) chipped in 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Paola Caccialanza (175-89) produced 15 points and forward Martina Picotti (184-90) added 6 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Scrivia moved-up to seventh place in A2. Scrivia will face Carugate (#14) in Corugate in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Team Crema will play at home against Virtus Cagliari (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
