Regular Season Round 11: Boca Jrs - GECR Indalo 71-88

Date: October 29, 2016
Not a big story in a game when 8th ranked Boca Juniors (3-7) lost to first ranked GECR Indalo (8-3) in Buenos Aires 71-88 on Saturday. The game without a history. GECR Indalo led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. Juan Manuel Rivero (191-85) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). American swingman O'Louis McCullough (198-82, college: Francis Marion, agency: DTMones) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Four GECR Indalo players scored in double figures. Greek Fotios Lampropoulos (206-83) answered with 17 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Lucas Perez (185-87) added 4 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for Boca Juniors. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. GECR Indalo have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place in Sur with 8-3 record, which they share with Weber Bahia. Loser Boca Juniors dropped to the ninth position with seven games lost. GECR Indalo will face Obras Basket (#7) in Buenos Aires in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Boca Juniors will play at home against San Lorenzo and hope to win that game.
