Regular Season Round 9: Las Animas - Tinguiririca S.F. 85-83

Important game to mention about took place in Valdivia. Fifth ranked Las Animas (5-3) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 7th ranked Tinguiririca S.F. (3-8) 85-83 on Saturday evening. American center Terrell Taylor (203-81, college: Virginia Tech, agency: DTMones) nailed a double-double by scoring 27 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import guard Dominic Cheek (198-91, college: Villanova) accounted for 35 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Argentinian power forward Juan Luis Abeiro (196-88) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and forward Matias Moraga (194-89) added 20 points respectively for Tinguiririca S.F. in the defeat. Four Tinguiririca S.F. players scored in double figures. Las Animas maintains fifth place with 5-3 record. Tinguiririca S.F. at the other side dropped to the tenth position with eight games lost. Las Animas will play against Puente Alto (#11) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Tinguiririca S.F. will play against the league's second-placed Osorno Basquetbol and hopes to get back on the winning track.
