Regular Season Round 6: Rivas - Estudiantes B 67-76

There was a small surprise when fifteenth ranked Estudiantes B (1-5) won against on the road 13th ranked Rivas (1-5) 76-67 on Saturday. Rivas trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 21-17 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 67-76 at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was guard Diego Gonzalez (188-96) who scored 16 points. Point guard Juan Llorente (180-93) chipped in 14 points and 5 assists. Four Estudiantes B players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Angel Gomez (197-87) who recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and guard Miguel Zamora (189-93) added 11 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Estudiantes B left bottom position moving up to fourteenth place in Group B, which they share with defeated Rivas. It was Rivas' fourth loss in a row. Estudiantes B will face higher ranked Villarrobledo (#12) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
