Regular Season Round 6: Gimle BBK - Centrum 97-78

The game in Bergen was also quite interesting. One of their biggest challengers Centrum (4-4) played at the court of sixth ranked Gimle BBK (4-2). Gimle BBK did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 97-78 on Saturday. The game without a history. Gimle BBK led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Swingman Magne Fivelstad (198-89, college: Barry) scored 9 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard Daniel Berg (195-86, college: NYIT) chipped in 23 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Miilah Kombat (198-88, college: N.Idaho JC) with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Magnus Midtvedt (182-90) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Gimle BBK have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Defending champion Centrum dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. Gimle BBK will face Tromso (#8) on the road in the next round. Centrum will play against Nidaros Jets in Tromdheim and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
