Very significant was CB Canarias' (#4) 91-81 road victory against one of their biggest challengers Dominion BB. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Dominion BB was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 48-37 second half run of CB Canarias. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Dominion BB's 28. CB Canarias players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. American point guard Davin White (186-81, college: CS Northridge) notched a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 assists to lead the effort and forward Javier Beiran (200-87) supported him with 15 points and 5 rebounds. Four CB Canarias players scored in double figures. Even 19 points and 7 rebounds by Croatia power forward Ivan Buva (208-91) did not help to save the game for Dominion BB. The former international forward Alex Mumbru (202-79, agency: BeoBasket) added 20 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. CB Canarias (5-1) moved-up to second place. Dominion BB at the other side dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. They share it with Baskonia and Unicaja. CB Canarias will play against Movil Estudiantes (#10) in Madrid in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Dominion BB will have a break next round.
