The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Diamond Dolphins (8-3) in Nagoya on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by Aishin Sea Horses (8-3) 75-64. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 75-64. Aishin Sea Horses outrebounded Diamond Dolphins 50-32 including 17 on the offensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for the former international center JR Sakuragi (206-76, college: UCLA) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds. American power forward Gavin Edwards (206-88, college: Connecticut) accounted for 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. American forward Justin Burrell (207-88, college: St.John's) came up with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import forward Jerome Tillman (201-87, college: Ohio, agency: Inception Sports) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Diamond Dolphins in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Aishin Sea Horses have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Nagoya DD. Aishin Sea Horses will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Diamond Dolphins will play again against the league's leader Aishin Sea Horses and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
