The game in Tokyo supposed to be also quite interesting. Third ranked Kanazawa Sam. (7-3) played at the court of 6th ranked Tokyo Cinq R. (1-9). Kanazawa Sam. smashed Tokyo Cinq R. 88-55 on Saturday. Kanazawa Sam. dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Tokyo Cinq R.'s 28. American-Panamanian forward Gyno Pomare (203-86, college: San Diego) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points and 7 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). American power forward Andrew Fitzgerald (202-90, college: Oklahoma) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Kanazawa Sam. players scored in double figures. American power forward Eric Anderson (204-93, college: New Haven, agency: Duran International) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import guard Andre Murray (188-87, college: Portland St.) added 8 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Tokyo Cinq R.Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kanazawa Sam. have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 7-3 record having just two points less than leader Fukuoka Rizing. Loser Tokyo Cinq R. dropped to the fifth position with nine games lost. Kanazawa Sam. will have a break next round. Tokyo Cinq R. will play against the league's second-placed Tokyo HT (#2) and hope to win that game.
