Regular Season Round 7: Gimbasket WRC - Sudety 63-66

A very interesting game took place in Wroclaw. It ended with only three-point home defeat of 3rd placed Gimbasket WRC (5-2) to sixth ranked Sudety (4-2) 66-63 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Gimbasket WRC. Gimbasket WRC was ahead by 7 points after three quarters before a 23-13 charge of Sudety, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Gimbasket WRC's 20. It was an exceptional evening for power forward Pawel Minciel (203-88) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds. Guard Lukasz Niesobski (185-85) accounted for 16 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists for the winning side. Forward Przemyslaw Gworek (195-90) came up with 23 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Rafal Malitka (205-91) added 11 points and 15 rebounds respectively for Gimbasket WRC in the defeat. Four Gimbasket WRC players scored in double figures. Sudety moved-up to fifth place in Group D. Gimbasket WRC at the other side dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. Sudety's next round opponent will be WKK Wroclaw (#7) at home. Gimbasket WRC will play against Kalisz and hope to win that game.
