Regular Season Round 11: Bambitious Nara - Shinshu BW 57-63

There was a small surprise when sixth ranked Shinshu BW (3-8) defeated on the road 4th placed Bambitious Nara (4-7) 63-57 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Bambitious Nara won third quarter 16-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American power forward Jamal Boykin (203-87, college: California) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Will Carter (200-88, college: San Jose St., agency: HMS) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. Nigeria forward Andy Ogide (204-87, college: Colorado St., agency: HMS) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 16 rebounds and forward Daiki Terashita (190-80) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Shinshu BW moved-up to fifth place. Bambitious Nara lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the third position with seven games lost. Shinshu BW will have a break next round. Bambitious Nara will play again at home against Shinshu BW and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
