Regular Season Round 7: SKK Siedlce - Polonia Leszno 80-65

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Polonia Leszno (5-2) against eighth ranked SKK Siedlce (4-3) on Saturday night. Visiting Polonia Leszno was defeated by SKK Siedlce in Siedlce 80-65. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Polonia Leszno. The game was mostly controlled by SKK Siedlce. Polonia Leszno was better in second period 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when SKK Siedlce won last quarter 29-15. Polonia Leszno was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Marcin Plawucki (177-89, agency: Promotex) who led the winners and scored 18 points and 7 assists. Center Rafal Rajewicz (204-88, agency: Promotex) accounted for 10 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Four SKK Siedlce players scored in double figures. Radoslaw Trubacz (196-94) came up with 17 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Tomasz Stepien (192-86) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Polonia Leszno in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. SKK Siedlce moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Kotwica. Newly promoted Polonia Leszno keeps the third position with two games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. SKK Siedlce will play against league's second-placed Spojnia in Stargard in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Polonia Leszno will play at home against GKS Tychy and hopes to get back on the winning track.
