Regular Season Round 6: L Alfas - Benidorm 62-65

Rather expected game in Alfas Del Pi where bottom-ranked L Alfas (0-4) was edged by seventh ranked Benidorm (2-2) 65-62 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 18-13 charge, which allowed them to win the game. L Alfas was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was guard Alejandro Jorda (193-95, college: Cuesta JC) who scored 17 points. Swingman Daniel Adriasola (193-88) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. Four Benidorm players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Alejandro Rivas who recorded 20 points and 6 rebounds and Belarusian power forward Ivan Zhauniarovich (205-86) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Benidorm moved-up to fifth place in Group E, which they share with Valencia II and Sagunto. Loser L Alfas still closes the standings with four games lost. Benidorm will face Cartagena (#9) at home in the next round. L Alfas will play against the league's second-placed UCAM Murcia II and hopes to get finally their first victory.
