Regular Season Round 7: Koping - RIG Mark 86-69

Everything went according to plan when leader Koping (5-0) beat at home 8th ranked RIG Mark (1-3) 86-69 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Koping. RIG Mark was better in fourth quarter 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Koping dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to RIG Mark's 32 and made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Koping forced 20 RIG Mark turnovers and outrebounded them 44-30 including 16 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Koping made 7 blocks. It was a great evening for American Ronald Boggs (-91) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds. Center Mikael Axelsson (207-94) helped adding 14 points and 17 rebounds. At the losing side forward Kevin Senghore-Peterson (196-98) responded with 19 points and 9 rebounds and guard Ludvig Johansson (177-98) scored 11 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Koping and five RIG Mark players scored in double figures. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Koping. They maintain second place with 5-0 record behind leader AIK. Loser RIG Mark keeps the eighth position with three games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
