Regular Season Round 5: Granada - Navarra 68-52

Not a big story in a game when 14th ranked Navarra (1-4) was defeated on the road by second ranked CB Granada (4-1) 68-52. It looked good early as Navarra took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then CB Granada had a 15-10 second period charge getting the lead and Navarra was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 52-68. CB Granada shot 20 for 28 from the free-throw line, while Navarra only scored two points from the stripe. They outrebounded Navarra 48-30 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Jamaica forward Tyran De Lattibeaudiere (201-91, college: Lamar) orchestrated the victory by scoring 13 points and 9 rebounds. Romania power forward Rares Uta (211-97) contributed with 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Austria forward Maximilian Hopfgartner (206-92, college: John Brown, agency: Dynamics Global Management) answered with 19 points and 6 rebounds and center Victor Hidalgo (204-86) added 6 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Navarra. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. CB Granada have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with 5 other teams. Navarra at the other side dropped to the twelfth place with four games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. CB Granada will play against Albacete (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Navarra will play against Fontedoso Carrefour to get more than just one victory in their record.
