We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Wroclaw where leader Gornik (6-1) was defeated by leader Slask (6-0) 69-64 on Saturday. It was a key game for the top position in Group D. The hosts trailed by 10 points at the halftime before their 36-21 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Point guard Jakub Musial (186-98) fired 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Point guard Wojciech Jakubiak (180-96) chipped in 11 points and 7 assists. Four Slask players scored in double figures. The former international center Piotr Niedzwiedzki (210-93) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds and Rafal Niesobski (189-82) added 19 points respectively for lost side. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Slask. They keep a position of Group D leader. Loser Gornik dropped to the second place with one game lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
