The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Cactus Tbilisi (1-1) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were rolled over by Batumi (2-1) 90-67. The game without a history. Batumi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Batumi had a 35-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for Ukrainian point guard Illya Shemosiuk (188-85) who led his team to a victory with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Kakhaber Jintcharadze (195-93) contributed with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Five Batumi players scored in double figures. American center John Florveus (211-90, college: Georgia) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 16 rebounds and the other American import guard Terik Bridgeman (198, college: William Pater.) added 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks in the effort for Cactus Tbilisi. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Batumi is looking forward to face Energy Invest (#4) in Rustavi in the next round. Cactus Tbilisi's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tbilisi to the arena Sokhumi.
