Regular Season Round 6: Sleza Wroclaw - Basket Gdynia 84-48

Bottom-ranked Basket Gdynia (0-6) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 84-48 loss to fifth ranked Sleza Wroclaw (4-2) in Wroclaw. The game without a history. Sleza Wroclaw led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Sleza Wroclaw forced 19 Basket Gdynia turnovers and outrebounded them 36-24 including 22 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. American point guard Sharnee Zoll-Norman (170-86, college: Virginia) notched 8 points and 16 assists to lead the effort and international Agnieszka Skobel (180-89) supported her with 20 points. Coach Grzegorz Krzak's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 11 points and 5 rebounds by Lithuania Monika Grigalauskyte (190-92) did not help to save the game for Basket Gdynia. Montenegrin guard Jelena Skerovic (176-80, agency: Josep and Nicolas) added 4 points and 9 assists. Sleza Wroclaw have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with 4 other teams. Basket Gdynia at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost. Sleza Wroclaw's next round opponent will be TS Ostrovia (#10) in Ostrow Wlkp. and are hoping to win another game. Basket Gdynia will play at home against MKK Siedlce and hopes to get finally their first victory.
