Regular Season Round 5: Toulouse - Limoges 61-55

Bottom-ranked Limoges (0-5) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 61-55 loss to sixth ranked Toulouse (3-1) in Toulouse. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Limoges won third quarter 19-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Senegalese power forward Oumou Toure (190-88, agency: Comsport) nailed a double-double by scoring 24 points and 19 rebounds (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) for the winning side and Croatia center Emilija Podrug (190-79) accounted for 8 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. U.S. Virgin Islands-American swingman Natalie Day (182-90, college: Portland, agency: Regeneracom Sports) came up with 22 points and 6 rebounds and guard Emmanuelle Gorjeu (172-89) added 4 points and 6 assists respectively for Limoges in the defeat. Toulouse moved-up to fifth place. Limoges lost their fifth game in a row. They still close the standings with five games lost. Toulouse's next round opponent will be Dunkerque (#11) on the road which should be theoretically an easy game. Limoges will play against SIG and hopes to get finally their first victory.
