The most surprising game was a loss of Aix-Maurienne (2-1) on the court of JA Vichy on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by JA Vichy 79-71. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 42-31 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. JA Vichy looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for American point guard Dustin Ware (183-90, college: Georgia) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists. Power forward Charles-Henri Bronchard (200-82, agency: Court Side) helped adding 12 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American forward Andre Williamson (202-89, college: Appalachian St., agency: HMS) with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and Gambia forward Moses Sonko (196-83, college: Co.Carolina, agency: HMS) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Four Aix-Maurienne players scored in double figures. Aix-Maurienne's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. JA Vichy is looking forward to face Poitiers (#14) on the road in the next round. Aix-Maurienne will play against STB Le Havre (#7) and is hoping to win this game.
