Regular Season Round 6: Henan - Bayi 84-86

Henan (5-1) recorded its first loss in Jiyuan on Saturday night. Hosts were edged by fourth ranked Bayi Kylin (4-2) 86-84. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Henan. Bayi Kylin forced 22 Henan turnovers. The best player for the winners was international center Mengran Sun (197-92) who scored 18 points and 8 rebounds. The former international forward Lu Wen (188-90) chipped in 12 points and 4 assists. Five Bayi Kylin players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Nigeria-American forward Chiney Ogwumike (193-92, college: Stanford) who recorded a double-double by scoring 27 points and 15 rebounds and Pinzhen Huang added 28 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists respectively. Bayi Kylin moved-up to third place, which they share with Shenyang and Shanghai. Henan at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. They share it with Shanxi. Bayi Kylin is looking forward to face Whale (#10) in Sichuan in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Henan will play at home against Shanghai Dahua (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
