Regular Season Round 3: Olympiacos - Niki Lefkadas 93-52

Olympiacos Pireus (3-0) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed Niki Lefkadas (1-2) in Ellinikou 93-52. Olympiacos Pireus dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Niki Lefkadas' 22. Olympiacos Pireus forced 22 Niki Lefkadas turnovers and outrebounded them 53-30 including a 40-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Olympiacos Pireus looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Niki Lefkadas' players. It was a great evening for Luxembourg guard Lynn Kaiser (173-87) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). The former international power forward Afroditi Kosma (187-83) helped adding 13 points and 9 rebounds. Olympiacos Pireus' coach Eleni Kapogianni felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was the former international guard Dimitra Kabouraki (167-93) with 18 points and guard Dimitra Telidou (170-80) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Olympiacos Pireus is looking forward to face Panathlitikos in Thessaloniki in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Niki Lefkadas will play at home against Dafni Agioy (#3) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
