Regular Season Round 6: Mataro - Barna 70-87

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Barna and 7th ranked Mataro had identical 2-2 record. But Mataro was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Barcelona 87-70 on Sunday night. The game without a history. Barna led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The best player for the winners was guard Bartu Martinez (187-91) who scored 22 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Borja Ramos (196-81) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Santiago Serrataco (187-90) who recorded 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and David Romero (-90) added 7 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Barna (3-2) moved-up to fourth place in Group C-A, which they share with 3 other teams. Mataro lost third consecutive game. Mataro at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the tenth position with three games lost. Barna will face Castellbisbal (#4) at home in the next round. Mataro will play against JAC Sants (#14) in Barcelona and hope to win that game.
