Regular Season Round 12: Nagoya DD - SeaHorses 77-71

Round 12 most important game was a defeat of Aishin Sea Horses (8-4). They were defeated by second ranked Diamond Dolphins (9-3) 77-71 on Sunday night. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Aishin Sea Horses. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 24-15. But Aishin Sea Horses won third quarter 28-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Jerome Tillman (201-87, college: Ohio, agency: Inception Sports) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 6 rebounds and guard Taito Nakahigashi (190-92) who added 7 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American power forward Gavin Edwards (206-88, college: Connecticut) with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds and the former international swingman Makoto Hiejima (190-90) scored 19 points and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Diamond Dolphins keep a position of league leader, which they share with Toshiba BT. Aishin Sea Horses at the other side dropped to the second place with four games lost. They share the position with Sanen. They were replaced at the leadership position by Tochigi Brex. Aishin Sea Horses will play next round against Shiga L-Stars trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Diamond Dolphins will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Kyoto Hannar. on the road.
