Regular Season Round 6: Betanzos - Rosalia 71-48

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when fifth ranked Betanzos (3-1) smashed at home one of their biggest challengers Rosalia (3-1) 71-48 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Betanzos. Rosalia was better in third quarter 8-7. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They held Rosalia to an opponent 21.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 42.9 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Rosalia 51-39 including a 38-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was center Marcos Rozas (202-83) who scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Senegalese Abdou Thiam (-98) chipped in 8 points and 14 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Anton Bouzan (188-95) who recorded 18 points and guard Javier Patino (190-92) added 11 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Betanzos moved-up to third place in Group A-B, which they share with Chantada and Rosalia. Betanzos will face league's second-placed Leon on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Rosalia will play against BVM 2012 in Mieres and hope to win that game.
