There was an upset when higher ranked Castellbisbal (3-2) was defeated on the road by tenth ranked Calvia (2-2) 86-82 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 11 points after first quarter, but they rallied back winning next two quarters and won the game by 4 points. Calvia outrebounded Castellbisbal 37-24 including 23 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was forward Gabriel Torres (198-89) who scored 20 points and 9 rebounds. Power forward Jose Maria Morales (205-89) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Marc Manes (196-86) who recorded 15 points and center Gerard Galbete (204-88) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Calvia moved-up to eighth place in Group C-A, which they share with AEC Collblanc. Loser Castellbisbal dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. Calvia will face Salt (#11) on the road in the next round. Castellbisbal will play against Barna (#5) in Barcelona and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
