Regular Season Round 6: Cholet - Chalon 84-90

The most interesting game of round 6 was a home defeat of 6th ranked Cholet Basket (3-3) to fifth ranked Chalon/Saor (4-2) 90-84. It ended the three-game winning streak of Cholet Basket. Cholet Basket was trailing by 9 points at halftime but managed to get 4-point lead after three quarters before a 27-17 charge of Chalon/Saor, which allowed them to win the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American guard Lance Harris (195-84, college: Kansas St.) scored 22 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import point guard John Roberson (180-88, college: Texas Tech) chipped in 20 points and 6 assists during the contest. Five Chalon/Saor players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American point guard Isaiah Swann (188-85, college: Florida St.) with 27 points and 6 rebounds and Puerto Rican point guard Angel Rodriguez (180-92, college: Miami, FL) scored 23 points and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Chalon/Saor moved-up to third place, which they share with Paris-Levallois and Nanterre. Cholet Basket at the other side keeps the sixth position with three games lost. They share it with 5 other teams. Chalon/Saor is looking forward to face Paris-Levallois (#4) at home in the next round. Cholet Basket will play against Le Mans and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
