There was a surprise result when fourteenth ranked San Severo (2-3) beat at home higher ranked Monteroni (2-3) 81-63 on Sunday. San Severo forced 20 Monteroni turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Guard Leonardo Ciribeni (190-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points. Naturalized Argentinian point guard Matias Di Marco (180-84) contributed with 17 points, 6 assists and 5 steals for the winners. San Severo's coach Piero Coen allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Bosnian point guard Amar Balic (178-96) answered with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and power forward Simone Zanotti (208-92) added 17 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Monteroni.
