Regular Season Round 6: Froya Basket - Centrum 97-69

The game between Top Four teams took place in Laksevag. Second ranked host Froya Basket (6-2) smashed 4th ranked Centrum (4-4) 97-69. The game without a history. Froya Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Centrum's 34. They outrebounded Centrum 39-27 including 25 on the defensive glass. American forward Jamell Harris (206-91, college: E.Michigan) had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Latvia guard Edmunds Gabrans (188-79) chipped in 22 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Five Froya Basket players scored in double figures. Froya Basket's coach Brent Hackman felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was point guard Magnus Midtvedt (182-90) with 18 points and 7 rebounds and forward Anders Stien (195-90) scored 13 points. Froya Basket maintains second position with 6-2 record having just two point less than leader Kongsberg. Defending champion Centrum dropped to the fifth place with four games lost. They share the position with Nidaros Jets. Froya Basket are looking forward to face Asker Aliens (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Centrum will play against Nidaros Jets in Tromdheim and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
