Regular Season Round 6: Santos - Toros 63-65

The most exciting game of round 6 in the LNBP took place in San Luis Potosi. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 6th ranked Santos (2-4) to fifth ranked Toros (4-2) 65-63 on Sunday evening. The best player for the winners was Puerto Rican swingman Angel Daniel Vassallo (198-86, college: Virginia Tech) who scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. The former international center Lorenzo Mata (205-86, agency: Pro Sports) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Brandon Weston (175) who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and 17 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard Earl Rabb (196-87, college: Midwestern St.) added 8 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Toros moved-up to second place, which they share with Panteras. Santos at the other side dropped to the seventh position with four games lost. They share it with Correcaminos and Indios. Toros is looking forward to face Garzas (#6) in Plata Hidalgo in the next round. Santos will play at home against the league's leader Fuerza Regia and are hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
