Regular Season Round 3: Panathinaikos - Aris Thessal. 89-68

Date: October 30, 2016
Panathinaikos used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from Thessaloniki 89-68 on Sunday night. The game was mostly controlled by Panathinaikos. Aris Thessal. managed to win third quarter 19-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Panathinaikos looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The best player for the winners was American center Shamela Hampton (191-87, college: UNLV) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Naturalized American guard Niki Avery (168-86, college: E.Kentucky, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 21 points and 8 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Brittni Montgomery (190-92, college: Cent.Florida) who recorded 19 points and 6 rebounds and American-Guyanese guard Miriam McKenzie (177-90, college: Loyola, MD) added 14 points and 6 assists respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Panathinaikos will meet Kronos AD (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Aris Thessal. will play against Panionios and hope to win that game.
