Very expected game in Athens where 8th ranked Kolossos (1-3) was defeated by top-ranked Olympiacos (4-0) 75-67 on Sunday. Kolossos was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Olympiacos made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Kolossos was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of international Ioannis Papapetrou (203-94, college: Texas) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 7 rebounds and American point guard Erick Green (190-91, college: Virginia Tech) who added 18 points during the contest. At the losing side American forward Juvonte Reddic (206-92, college: VCU) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard Trevor Releford (183-91, college: Alabama) scored 17 points and 4 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Olympiacos have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with AEK Athens. Loser Kolossos keeps the eighth place with three games lost. Olympiacos will face Aris (#6) in Thessaloniki in the next round where they are favorite. Kolossos will play at home against Koroivos and hope to win that game.
