Regular Season Round 10: Niigata R. - Fujitsu RW 63-82

Bottom-ranked Niigata R. (0-8) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their eighth consecutive match to fifth ranked Fujitsu RW (6-2) 82-63 on Sunday evening. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 82-63. Fujitsu RW outrebounded Niigata R. 45-26 including 17 on the offensive glass. International point guard Mio Shinozaki (167-91) scored 21 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international point guard Rui Machida (161-93) chipped in 12 points, 5 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Five Fujitsu RW players scored in double figures. Fujitsu RW's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side swingman Sangi Kanade (169-86) responded with 11 points and 4 steals and Hatanaka Miho (177-85) scored 9 points and 4 assists. Fujitsu RW have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Chanson V-M. Niigata R. at the other side still closes the standings with eight games lost. They share the position with Aishin AW and Yamanashi QB. Fujitsu RW is looking forward to face Aishin Wings (#10) in Anjo in the next round where they are favorite. Niigata R. will play on the road against the league's leader JX-Eneos S. in Kashiwa and hopes to get finally their first victory.
