Regular Season Round 2: Petrochimi - Kashan 91-59
Date: October 31, 2016
An interesting game for Petrochimi (2-0) which hosted in Bandar Imam Kashan (1-1). Petrochimi had an easy win 91-59. Petrochimi forced 20 Kashan turnovers and outrebounded them 47-36 including a 33-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. American point guard Gerald Robinson (185-89, college: Georgia) notched 17 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and the former international Mehrad Atashi (191-86) supported him with 22 points. Four Petrochimi players scored in double figures. Even 12 points and 8 rebounds by the former international center Masoud Soleimani (207) did not help to save the game for Kashan. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
