Regular Season Round 4: Melbourne - Dandenong 67-69

The most interesting game of round 4 was only two-point a home defeat of 5th ranked Boomers (3-3) to fourth ranked Dandenong Rangers (4-2) 69-67. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Boomers were tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Sara Blicavs (188-93) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 6 rebounds and guard Aimee Clydesdale (177-93) who added 15 points and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side American center Chante Black (195-85, college: Duke) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and her fellow American import guard Brittany Smart (175-85, college: Cedarville) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Dandenong Rangers keep a position of league leader, which they share with Perth and Bendigo. Boomers at the other side keep the fifth place with three games lost. Dandenong Rangers is looking forward to face Canberra Capitals (#4) at home in the next round. Boomers will play against Perth Lynx and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
