Regular Season Round 4: Macc.Rehovot - Hapoel Migd.H. 75-61

Maccabi Rehovot can celebrate their first win this season after three consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Hapoel Migd.H. (1-3) 75-61 on Tuesday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Maccabi Rehovot's pressure prevailed and they won that period 24-13 extending their advantage to 14 points. They made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game. Maccabi Rehovot forced 24 Hapoel Migd.H. turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Evan Yates (198-91, college: Ashland) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and forward Yonathan Levi (206-90) who added 14 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Yates is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Maccabi Rehovot players scored in double figures. At the losing side American swingman Marcus Relphorde (198-88, college: Colorado) responded with 16 points and 4 steals and his fellow American import forward Nick Jacobs (203-92, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Three Eye Sports) scored 6 points and 11 rebounds. Hapoel Migd.H.'s coach David Elharrar rotated ten players saving starting five for next games. Maccabi Rehovot left bottom position moving up to ninth place, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated Hapoel Migd.H. It was Hapoel Migd.H.'s third loss in a row. Maccabi Rehovot will meet bottom-ranked Hasharon (#14) in the next round where they are favorite. Hapoel Migd.H. will play against Hap.R/G Givat. (#3) and hope to win that game.
