Regular Season Round 4: PGE Turow - AZS Koszalin 71-63

Very predictable result in Zgorzelec where third ranked PGE Turow (4-1) defeated 14th ranked AZS Koszalin (1-3) 71-63 on Wednesday. AZS Koszalin trailed by 16 points after 3 quarters before a 23-15 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 63-71 at the end of the game. PGE Turow forced 22 AZS Koszalin turnovers. AZS Koszalin was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Kirk Archibeque (205-84, college: Fort Lewis) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import point guard Tweety Carter (180-86, college: Baylor) who added 12 points and 4 assists during the contest. Four PGE Turow players scored in double figures. At the losing side American center Darrell Harris (205-84, college: Rhode Island) responded with 7 points and 13 rebounds and Jakub Zalewski (184-86) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. PGE Turow moved-up to second place, which they share with Stelmet ZG. Loser AZS Koszalin keeps the fourteenth position with three games lost. PGE Turow will face Krosno (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite.
