Regular Season Round 6: Union SF - BHY Tiro Federal 89-82

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Union SF as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Union SF defeated 4th ranked BHY Tiro Federal in Santa Fe 89-82. BHY Tiro Federal was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. It was a good game for swingman Bruno Barovero (194-90) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 7 assists. Center Fernando Podesta (205-92) contributed with 20 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Union SF's coach Daniel Beltramo allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Power forward Diego Brezzo (206-84) replied with 25 points and 6 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and naturalized Spanish swingman Martin Maximiliano (189-90) added 18 points and 4 assists in the effort for BHY Tiro Federal. Five Union SF and four BHY Tiro Federal players scored in double figures. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Hindu. BHY Tiro Federal at the other side keeps the fourth place with three games lost. They share the position with Gimnasia LP and Ciclista. BHY Tiro Federal will play next round against strong Barrio Parque trying to get back on the winning streak. Union SF will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Independiente BBC at home.
