Regular Season Round 7: Boras - Nassjo 67-70

Important game to mention about took place in Boras. Seventh ranked Nassjo (3-4) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 4th placed Boras Basket (3-3) 70-67 on Thursday evening. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. It was an exceptional evening for American Auston Barnes (203-91, college: Bradley) who led the winners and scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Lithuania forward Mantas Griskenas (200-85, college: Wichita St., agency: Dynamics Global Management) accounted for 17 points for the winning side. Nassjo's coach Raul Jimenez allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American point guard James Washington (182-87, college: Middle Tenn.St.) came up with 16 points and 6 assists and the former international Christian Maraker (207-82, college: Pacific) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Boras Basket in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Nassjo moved-up to sixth place. Boras Basket at the other side keeps the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Norrkoping. Nassjo will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Boras Basket will play at home against Uppsala Basket (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
