Regular Season Round 7: FC Barcelona II - Palma 69-77

Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked Barca II (2-5) lost to eighth ranked Palma (4-3) in Barcelona 69-77 on Friday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Barca II won third quarter 20-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a very good performance for center Victor Serrano (211-89) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Forward Asier Zengotitabengoa (201-88) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Forward Jordi Trias (208-80) answered with 9 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Pol Figueras (187-98) added 18 points and 4 assists in the effort for Barca II. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Palma moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Barca II dropped to the fourteenth position with five games lost. Palma will face Ourense (#8) at home in the next round. Barca II will play against Araberri (#9) in Vitoria-Gasteiz and hope to win that game.
