Very predictable result when third ranked Ura Basket (6-2) rolled over 12th ranked JyWe (2-4) in Kaarina 106-71 on Friday. The game without a history. Ura Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to JyWe's 42. Ura Basket forced 23 JyWe turnovers and outrebounded them 53-26 including a 22-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by JyWe's players. It was a good game for American forward Sean Harris (201, college: Utah St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Ville Hanninen (193-95) contributed with 23 points for the winners. Four Ura Basket players scored in double figures. Ura Basket's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Russia point guard Sergei Chudinovskich (193-81) replied with 31 points and 5 steals and forward Lauri Salovaara (190-94) added 21 points in the effort for JyWe. Ura Basket moved-up to second place in Division. Newly promoted JyWe dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. Ura Basket will have a break next round. JyWe will play on the road against HyPo (#6) in Hyvinkaa and hope to win that game.
