Regular Season Round 5: Tartu Ulikool - Noorteliiga 88-57

Undefeated leader TU/Rock delivered the fourth consecutive victory on Friday night. This time they crushed bottom-ranked Audentese/N. (0-3) 88-57 in Tartu. The game without a history. TU/Rock led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. TU/Rock forced 22 Audentese/N. turnovers and outrebounded them 45-31 including 30 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Audentese/N.'s players. Australia forward Venky Jois (203-93, college: E.Washington) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners and Lithuania center Dominykas Milka (203-92, college: St.Rose, NY) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. Five TU/Rock players scored in double figures. Taavi Jurkatamm (200-97) responded with 26 points and 8 rebounds and power forward Madis Soodla (205-97) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. TU/Rock have a solid series of four victories in a row. Despite that victory TU/Rock went down to second position due to points difference. Loser Audentese/N. still closes the standings with three games lost. TU/Rock will meet league's leader TTU in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Audentese/N. will play against Parnu (#6) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
