Regular Season Round 11: Mitsubishi K. - Haneda Vickies 95-60

No shocking result in a game in Nagoya where sixth ranked Mitsubishi K. (6-3) smashed 8th ranked Haneda Vickies (2-7) 95-60 on Friday. The game without a history. Mitsubishi K. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Mitsubishi K. outrebounded Haneda Vickies 49-22 including a 30-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a great evening for the former international forward Chika Sakuragi (179-91) who led her team to a victory scoring 18 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. The former international swingman Aya Watanabe (170-92) helped adding 14 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Four Mitsubishi K. players scored in double figures. Guard Nanoko Motohashi (164-93) responded with 20 points and 4 steals and forward Yuki Morimoto (177-84) scored 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Mitsubishi K.. They maintain sixth place with 6-3 record. Haneda Vickies lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the eighth position with seven games lost. They share it with Hitachi Cougars. Mitsubishi K. will again meet Haneda Vickies (#8) in the next round. Haneda Vickies will have a break next round.
