We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Ettelbruck where one of their biggest challengers Etzella (4-2) was defeated by fifth ranked Musel Pikes (4-2) 95-80. It was a good game for American power forward Clancy Rugg (203-91, college: Vermont, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 10 rebounds. The other American import swingman Jarmar Gulley (196-91, college: Missouri St., agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) contributed with 25 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals for the winners. American power forward Derrick Barden (196-92, college: N.Colorado, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) replied with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds and international swingman Jairo Delgado (188-85) added 20 points and 4 assists in the effort for Etzella. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Etzella's coach Jan Enjebo rotated ten players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Musel Pikes moved-up to third place, which they share with Sparta and Etzella. Musel Pikes' next round opponent will be Sparta (#4) in Bertrange. Etzella will play at home against Basket Esch and hope to win that game.
