Regular Season Round 6: Tarragona - Alcazar 84-69

There was a surprise result when fifteenth ranked CB Tarragona 2017 (2-4) won against at home higher ranked Alcazar (3-3) 84-69 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 84-69. CB Tarragona 2017 outrebounded Alcazar 44-28 including 32 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for center Ferran Torres (201-88) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 9 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). American Orion Outerbridge (206-88, college: Rhode Island) contributed with 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American-Haitian guard Nick LaGuerre (190-93, college: St.Mary's, MD, agency: Duran International) replied with 10 points and 4 assists and American guard Lamonte Thomas (187-90, college: J.and Wales, RI) added 11 points in the effort for Alcazar. Four Alcazar players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. CB Tarragona 2017 moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Alcazar dropped to the eighth position with three games lost. CB Tarragona 2017 will face Gandia (#15) on the road in the next round where they are favorite.
