The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Oxaco (8-2) in Boechout on Saturday night. Hosts were edged by fifth ranked Soba (7-3) 62-60. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Oxaco. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Mitchel Gorremans (191-85) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws). Dutch center Kenneth van Kempen (207-87, college: Ohio, agency: Court Side) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Sam Van Hoey (190-91) replied with 13 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Nick Celis (196-88) added 10 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Oxaco. Oxaco's coach Tony van den Bosch tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Soba have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Gent Hawks. Oxaco at the other side dropped to the second position with two games lost. They share it with Waregem. Soba is looking forward to face Royal Brussels (#6) at home in the next round. Oxaco will play against Houthalen (#8) and is hoping to win this game.
