The game in Aichi was also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Denso Iris (8-2) played at the court of 7th ranked Toyota B SR (5-5). Denso Iris managed to secure a 8-point victory 85-77 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 47-37 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Denso Iris outrebounded Toyota B SR 50-29 including a 31-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Toyota B SR was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for the former international power forward Maki Takada (183-89) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). The former international guard Momoko Inai (166-95) contributed with 14 points and 8 assists for the winners. Swingman Tomomi Ikeda (169-88) replied with 22 points and power forward Sari Osabe (174-87) added 19 points in the effort for Toyota B SR. Toyota B SR's coach Fumikazu Nakagawa rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Denso Iris moved-up to third place, which they share with Chanson V-M and Fujitsu RW. Loser Toyota B SR keeps the seventh position with five games lost. Denso Iris will face bottom-ranked Yamanashi QB (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Toyota B SR will play against Fujitsu RW (#4) in Kawasaki and hope to win that game.
