Regular Season Round 6: Cassino - Roma Vis Nova 63-60

There was no surprise when 14th ranked Roma Vis Nova (1-4) was edged on the road by sixth ranked Cassino (4-2) 63-60 on Saturday. However just three-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Cassino looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for the former international power forward Simone Bagnoli (205-81) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Maurizio Del Testa (188-89) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Guard Giulio Casale (187-91) replied with 11 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Tommaso Rossetti (185-88) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Roma Vis Nova. Cassino moved-up to second place, which they share with 9 other teams. Newly promoted Roma Vis Nova keeps the fourteenth position with four games lost. Cassino will face Cefalu (#14) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Roma Vis Nova will play against Catanzaro and hope to win that game.
