Regular Season Round 14: Toyotsu FE - Tokyo Excel. 76-57

There was no surprise in Nagoya where 6th ranked Tokyo Excel. (3-10) was crushed by first ranked Toyotsu FE (12-1) 76-57 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 44-23 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Toyotsu FE dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Tokyo Excel.'s 22. They outrebounded Tokyo Excel. 47-36 including 34 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Nigeria center Solomon Alabi (216-88, college: Florida St.) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds. American power forward Lamar Sanders (198-84, college: Lamar, agency: SDJ Sports) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). American center Ryan Stephan (208-94, college: Colorado Mesa) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds and his fellow American import center Luke Evans (203-91, college: Cal.Baptist) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Toyotsu FE have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 12-1 record. Tokyo Excel. at the other side keeps the sixth place with ten games lost. Toyotsu FE will face again Tokyo Excel. (#6) at home in the next round where they are favorite.
